From the recording All In
I wrote this song as a "get even statement" when I was in a fight with my wife. Not that I wanted to end the relationship but... while I was angry I realized that everyone goes through a point where they just want out. So I decided to write about being done and the freedom of starting over. The wife and I laugh about this song now. But I think it rings true for anyone who just wants them "out of the house... and away from your wallet."
Lyrics
This ain't no bakery
You ain't gonna find no sugar on anything
Honey I don't hate you
Facts is facts that's just the way it is
Go on and walk away get outta my life
That's fine with me Honey you ain't right
You, you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
You, you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
Sure it's gonna sting a bit
But it's best we rip this thing off fast and clean
Honey I can handle this
Yeah I can get through anything
Go on and walk away get outta my life
That's fine with me Honey you ain't right
You, you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
You, you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
Aw come now
Go on and walk away get outta my life
That's fine with me Honey you ain't right
You, you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
You, you don't get to tell me what I think anymore
You, you don't get to tell me how I feel anymore
You, baby you don't get to tell me what to do anymore
